About the speakers…

Alan and Nicole Parker live in Tennessee, where Dr. Parker is Director of the Pierson Institute of Evangelism and Missions and Senior Adviser for Sexual Integrity at Southern Adventist University. He also serves as a professor and Graduate Program Coordinator in the School of Religion. His undergraduate degree is from Helderberg College, an extension campus of Andrews University, and both his graduate degrees are from the Seminary at Stellenbosch University in South Africa.

Nicole is an author of a children’s book series called “Tales of the Exodus,” and serves as an adjunct faculty at Southern Adventist University. She has a MA in Pastoral Ministry from Andrews University and a second unaccredited master’s degree in Biblical counseling from Trinity Bible College and Seminary. Her testimony of healing from abuse has inspired others to find healing in God’s love. She is involved with Project Safe Church, which helps makes churches places of healing and safety from abuse. She is also a coordinator for the leadpledge.org, which helps fight racism and prejudice from a Christian and biblical perspective.

The Parkers have four teenage children, including a daughter adopted from Ukraine. They have a passion for reaching out to young people through discipleship. They enjoy reading, hiking, advocating for the marginalized and sharing their love of Jesus with others.
